So, today at school was "crazy hair day", chosen by the student council as a way to show our school spirit. Never really understood that, but I had to participate. The mustache is a great start as I am kind of living "crazy hair day". I know it doesn't look good and people's comments are affirming this. "Hey, you're growing a mustache." or "Look at that, a mustache." is about the nicest thing they say.
Well, today I had to do something with my hair and I knew everyone would go UP with their stylin' (mohawk, spikes, pony tails...that sort of thing). So, I went the oposite direction and slicked it down. Unfortunately for me, it gave me the look of someone you would not want to send your children to spend a day with. On top of that many of our parents are non-english speakers and don't read all the information we send home. Like that it was crazy hair day. So, when they see me walking in to school, I can only imagine what they are thinking.
This is kind of like childbirth I imagine. Different stages, or trimesters if you will, are easier than others. This is a hard one. I'm tired of it. The joke is over. It is not long enough to be an accomplishment. I don't have the tools to trim it at all. And I just don't look good with one. So, please just give my team some money so at least I can lean on that. Your support in financial contributions to this good cause and vigilant prayer is greatly appreciated.
That is the look of someone I would not want to send my child to spend the day with. What about the rest of her life? As for the stach I think you should keep growing it until you can wax it and curl the ends. THAT would be a look!
ReplyDeleteAh Mike. The hair, the stach, the leer - what a combo. When will I have my handsome son back? Mom
ReplyDeleteI am laughing out loud at the past two+ weeks of blog posts. (Thank goodness you reminded me of your new blog location! I am now duly subscribed and up-to-date).
ReplyDeleteMike, you look so sketchy in that picture that I'm actually rather taken aback--I'm very impressed that such a great guy could look so... well, like someone I wouldn't want my children to spend the whole day with.
