A Holiday Happy Hour

We invited the entire SSIS staff to our home after our last day of work. Lauren made the below-mentioned nog, Ms. Thuy (nanny) and Ms. Quay (housekeeper) helped cut up tropical fruits and vegetables, make dips and snacks and I...ordered bags of ice to make sure the 9 bottles of wine and 4 cases of beer were cold (likely the most important task of all really).

We had close to 75 people over for some pre-vacation celebration. The 15 kids watched movies, played badminton outside, and ran back and forth from the table of food and the boy's room while the adults shared excitement over travel plans.

We hope to make this an annual tradition while here.

The calm before the storm.

Ahhhh, the eve of Christmas Break. Nothing is sweeter.

  1. 1- Thanks for sharing these photos of your party. Cool that you were willing to do that.
2- People are dressed for a warm climate. ABSOLUTE FREAKIN' HOORAY!
3- I really like your artwork. It's looking like a real, and very nice, home.
4- I'm excited to see a photo of your nanny and housekeeper. What nice faces! Plus, I just realized that Ms. Thuy can translate for Ms. Quay and you probably don't have to use the go-between much now.
5- RE the post below, I wish I liked eggnog. I'm sure it worked its magic for the partygoers!
