This is the scene at the coffee shop directly across the street from our school. You can see from the boys faces that they are not too sure how they feel about this guy.
We have been surprised at how over-the-top the city is going with decorating for Christmas. Most shops have something happening and many have something like this giant styrofoam santa going on. It seems to be a bit of a competition.
Downtown they are in the process of putting up millions of lights. They are strung like mosquito netting over many major streets, wrapped around hundreds of trees and on the sides of most buildings and in shop windows everywhere. I worry that when they plug all this in, you'll be reading about it from afar.
It should be pretty amazing to head downtown in a couple days.
What fun, Mike. Christmas will be different for the boys this year - I hope you all embrace the fun of it all. Thanks for sharing and take a picture of all those lights if you get a chance. We're just into RAIN for Christmas. Hugs and Love, Mom
