Soon after they were over their jet-lag we got on a small plane and flew to the islands of Con Dao.
Once there, we were not disappointed. It was just the place to get some uninterrupted grandma time.
We watched as some workers from the hotel shed their shoes and climbed the trees in the background, pulling off coconuts. As they walked by us they gave one to the boys. The boys then found them again and asked them to open it. Delicious.
On our second day, we hired a boat and went snorkeling. It was just the six of us in a small speed boat. We headed to "Lucky Island" where we saw some amazing fish and discovered snorkeling is an activity kids 7 to 70 can enjoy!
Back in town we explored the sites in HCMC with several visits to District 1.
Outside Ben Tahn Market we took advantage of mango season. One major benefit of the rising temperatures!
Finally, today, we had the all-too-familiar farewell day as we sent our travelers off to their next adventure in Hanoi. This does not get easier with practice...
Oh dear, those final photos made me tear up. Thank you for sharing them. What do you mean final visitors? Are you on your way home soon?
